Tuesday 17th August
1st Mick Keene (Maver Total Angling) on peg 23 canal with 96lb 7oz, Mick caught carp up to 4lb on paste at 4 meters.
2nd Jason Andrews (Tricast Weston ) on peg 49 canal with 75lb 10oz, Jason caught carp at 10 meters on meat shallow.
3rd Chris Durrant on peg 33 Belvedere with 75lb 3oz , Chris caught barbel and carp at 14 meters on caster and maggot.
Wednesday 18th August
1st Phil Jones on peg 5 Belvedere with 62lb 4oz , Phil caught carp and barbel at 6 meters on maggot and caster.
2nd John Dixon on peg 29 Belvedere with 48lb 2oz, John caught carp and barbel at 10 meters on meat and pellet.
3rd Ray Ibell on peg 19 canal with 43lb 8oz , Ray caught F1’s and tench at 6 meters on pellet and maggot.
Thursday 19th August Weston old Rovers against Gods Waiting Room
38 anglers fished the second round at Weston Pools and with G W R only having a 2oz advantage from the first leg at Spring Lea it was all to fish for, G W R would have to fish well to beat Weston on there own water, the anglers fished on three pools and it was decided on over all weight, the canal was first to be weighed in and it was Weston with an advantage of 40lb before they moved on to the next pool, on the Stretton pool G W R pulled it back to go 3lb ahead with only one pool to weight in, on the Wilfred Owen Weston pulled it back to beat G W R but it was not until the final tally that it was confirmed.
All the anglers went back to the three pigeons for a buffet while the weights where added up, Weston Old Rovers weighed in 497lb 8oz and G W R weighed in 436lb 5oz ,Weston old rovers beat G W R by 61lb 3oz.
Weston Old Rovers have kept the trophy for another year, well done to John Oliver (captain) and the team.
Saturday 21st August
1st Steve Owen on peg 2 Belvedere with 95lb 11oz , Steve caught carp and barbel on meat at 6 meters.
2nd Mark Pleven (Tricast Weston) on peg 16 Wilfred Owen with 85lb 1oz, Mark caught F1’s and tench at 13 meters on pellet.
3rd Mick Keene ( Maver Total Angling) on peg 12 canal with 63lb, Mick caught carp and tench on paste at 4 meters.
Sunday 22nd August
1st Mike Phibin ( Tricast Weston) on peg 2 Stretton with 60lb 12oz, Mike caught carp at 10 meters on caster and maggot.
2nd Graham Thomas (Deggys) on peg 32 Belvedere with 57lb 11oz, Graham caught carp up to 6lb on meat shallow at 14 meters.
3rd Mark Plevin (Tricast Weston) on peg 8 Stretton with 45lb 4oz, Mark caught F1’s at 14 meters on banded pellet shallow.
